The Music Ministry of Providence Presbyterian Church seeks to bring glory to God through music in accordance with His Word. Therefore, the music that is selected for corporate worship is theologically accurate, rich, God-centered, and singable. Our prayer is that the music that is played and the songs that are sung will be done so with much reverence (Heb. 12:28), joy (Ps. 33:1), thanksgiving (Ps. 28:7), and love (1 Cor. 13:1), both for who God is and for what He has so graciously done for us in and through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, for that is the only kind of worship that God accepts (Heb. 12:28, 29).
Tradition
At Providence we sing rich hymns, ancient and modern, and psalms from the best sources in church history.
Choir
The choir opens the worship service with an introit and accompanies the song leader in leading the congregational singing.
Accompaniment
Congregational singing is accompanied by our musician team. Primary accompaniment is done by our pianists. We also provide opportunities for instrumentalists to join our orchestral team.
