Rev. Claycomb graduated from Ozark Bible College in Joplin, Mo; Cincinnati Bible Seminary. He also worked on his Doctorate in Preaching at Lincoln Christian Seminary. He was ordained into the Christian Church and Churches of Christ in 1983. He held church ministries in Oklahoma, Ohio, Illinois, and Missouri. He was an adjunct Professor of Systematic Theology at St. Louis Christian College from 2008-2018. Ordained into the Illiana Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of America in 2020, he served Providence Presbyterian Church of Troy, Il as Interim Pastor from 2020 until his death. Pastor Claycomb also served as a chaplain. Jim's legacy was made evident through his love of the Lord, his faithful and dedicated service to the church, and his deep love for the people in his care.
