Biblical Truth for Relationships
Single or married, we all have people in our lives: family, co-workers, spouses, friends, and neighbors. How do we navigate these relationships through joyful times and challenges in a way that honors God?
In this event, recommended for ages 16 and above, Dr. Nicolas Ellen of Expository Counseling Center, LLC shared the cycle of relationships and practical tips to apply to the relationships in our lives at home, at work, and in the community. This presentation was geared toward individuals who would like to improve interpersonal skills through a biblical context in their everyday relationships. The content addressed how individuals in various relationships can better relate to each other.

Dr. Nicolas Ellen, Guest Speaker
Dr. Nicolas Ellen, is the Senior Pastor of Community of Faith Bible Church in Houston, Texas, and Senior Professor of Biblical Counseling at the College of Biblical Studies. Dr. Ellen has also developed a biblical counseling training center called Expository Counseling Center LLC. 
He received his B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Houston, Houston, Texas; his M.A. in Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary, Dallas, Texas; his M.A. in Biblical Counseling from The Master's University, Santa Clarita, California; his Doctorate of Ministry with a concentration in Biblical Counseling from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary Louisville, Kentucky; and his Ph.D. in Biblical Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas.
Dr. Ellen is a certified Biblical Counselor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC), a Fellow with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC), and travels nationwide with the organization teaching biblical counseling principles. In addition, he is also a Senior Member of the Biblical Counseling Framework Association.
Dr. Ellen and his wife, Dr. Venessa Ellen, have two children and four grandchildren.
