Visiting Providence Presbyterian Church
We invite you to gather with God’s people, every Lord's Day, to worship the true and living God! Worship at PPC is a dialogue between God and his people. God speaks to his people in the context of worship and his people reply in reverence, awe, and praise. Stay afterward to meet God’s people and behold how good it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.
Where do we currently Worship?
Our Sunday Morning services are held C.A. Henning Elementary School.
When are your services?
Our Lord’s Day Service is on Sunday morning at 9:30 am. Come a little early to prepare your heart for worship. The worship service is followed by Sunday School classes that are available for all age groups. Wednesday evening prayer and catechism begin at 6:30 pm. Adults are studying the Westminster Larger Catechism and corresponding Scriptures. This adult class meets at the church office.
How should I dress?
Our desire is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit. Some of our members dress in suits, others in jeans. "Man looks on the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart" (1 Sam. 16:7). We don’t prefer one type of dress over another (Jam. 2). More important than how you dress is that you come with a heart for worshiping God (1 Pet. 3:3-4). Whatever you do, come to glorify him (1 Cor. 10:31).
I have an infant or toddler. Do you provide a nursery for them?
We love babies and toddlers and welcome them with open arms, just as Christ did. “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for of such as these is the kingdom of heaven” (Mk. 10:14). While families are encouraged to keep their babies in the service with them, we also provide a securely staffed nursery for infants and toddlers. All staff and children's ministry volunteers are screened, have completed background checks, and participate in children's ministry training.
Am I expected to participate in the offering?
Worship is largely an act of thanksgiving to God for his mercy! We welcome full participation in our worship, including an offering of thanks. "Determine in your own heart what to give, for God loves a cheerful giver" (2 Cor. 9:7). Even a small offering is precious in God’s eyes! (Mk. 12:41-43)
